The creation of the Fair Producer Price reference system aims to give producers the possibility of asserting their production costs as a basis for negotiation with their first buyer. This production cost includes in particular a remuneration for the producers based on the joint commission. With the Fair Producer Price approach , farmers are encouraged to calculate their production costs, to negotiate the purchase value through them and obtain a fair price. The fair price covers the farmer's production costs AND ensures him a fair remuneration.The “Fair Producer Price” label is the new means of identifying products that offer fair remuneration to producers. It can be affixed to certain products subject to certain conditions , such as compliance with a charter, the guarantee of local origin or the traceability of raw materials. By guiding the consumer in his purchases, the "Fair Producer Price" label makes it possible to opt for products that promote local agriculture , while making our producers more autonomous and independent.
